Anticipation and Aerial Reception - Anaerobic

Description

The drill starts simultaneously at both goals. a) Blue players start the drill by sprinting to the first cone, where they take a ball and dribble at a jog to the second cone. Upon reaching it, they perform a long-range pass (switch of play). b) As the switch of play is launched, yellow and red players look to anticipate the ball in the air. Once one of them wins the ball, they return it to its origin with a long pass to the grey players, who receive the ball with their foot or chest and place it back at the starting point. Once this part of the drill is finished, the yellows sprint to the corner flag and then walk (recovery) to the goal to restart the drill at the same time the reds return to their initial position and the blues take the initial position the yellows had. c) On the third repetition, the drill must stop for one minute so players change positions, with the goal of rotating physical efforts. Thus, the yellows take the original position of the reds, the reds the position of the blues, and the blues the position of the yellows. d) On the fifth repetition, the blues move to the original position of the reds, the yellows move to the initial position of the blues, and the reds move to the initial position of the yellows. Upon completing 6 repetitions, the grey players must swap bibs with the blues to execute the drill exchanging roles. The remaining 4 players rest and 4 others enter.
