Intensive Intervals with Technical Drills

Description

Players run at 90% intensity along the running track. After each run, they move to the smaller pitch and perform technical drills in pairs (e.g., short passing, receiving with tosses, headers, etc.) as an active recovery phase (2-3 minutes). Ideally, there are 2-3 sets with 4 repetitions each. There should be a 10-minute rest period between sets. Fewer sets are possible when combined with other exercises/game forms to improve anaerobic endurance.
