Zigzag Running
- Level:
- Easy
- Duration:
- 15 min
- Recommended age:
- ["benjamin","alevin","infantil","cadete"]
Description
Form two groups and distribute them evenly between the starting cones. In all subsequent exercises, yellow players must always follow the zigzag pattern of the yellow cones, and red players must follow the red cones. Incorporate coordination exercises on the return path. Many different movement patterns are possible with and without the ball. Both groups practice simultaneously. Without a ball: Touch the next cone with your hand. When passing a cone on the left, touch it with your left hand while simultaneously lifting your right leg and touching your right foot with your right hand (challenge both the inside and outside of the foot). Run backwards. Side steps, etc. With a ball: Dribble the ball from cone to cone (also challenge your weaker foot). Dribble and weave through the cones. Practice feints at the cones. Coordination Exercises for the Return: High knees. Knee lift running. Butt kicks. Side steps. Backpedaling. Long strides. Ball rolls with the sole of the foot. Throw the ball from hand to foot and back to hand. Heading while running. Feints, etc.
