Anticipation and Aerial Reception - Anaerobic

Description

The drill starts simultaneously at both goals. a) Blue players start by sprinting to the first cone, where they pick up a ball and dribble at a jog to the second cone. Upon reaching it, they perform a long-range pass (switch of play). b) As the long pass is initiated, yellow and red players look to anticipate the ball in the air. Once one of them gains possession, they return the ball to the starting point with a long pass to the grey players, who control the ball with their feet or chest and place it back at the starting position. Once this part of the drill is finished, the yellow players sprint to the corner flag and then walk (recovery) to the goal to restart the drill at the same time the red players return to their initial position and the blue players take the starting position previously held by the yellow players. c) On the third repetition, the drill must stop for one minute so players can rotate positions, with the goal of alternating physical efforts. Thus, yellow players take the original position of the red players, red players take the position of the blue players, and blue players take the position of the yellow players. d) On the fifth repetition, blue players move to the red players' original position, yellow players move to the blue players' initial position, and red players move to the yellow players' initial position. Upon completing 6 repetitions, the grey players must swap vests with the blue players to execute the drill while exchanging roles. The remaining 4 players rest and 4 others enter.
