Pressing or compact block?
- Level:
- Intermediate
- Duration:
- 25 min
Description
Each team plays freely, attempting to score in the opponent's goal. After losing possession, each team must decide which type of defensive transition to execute: forming a compact block or applying pressure. This decision will be determined by the zone of ball loss, the difficulties the opponent may face, and our positioning (not an excessively deep block). FOCUS ON: - Well-timed aggression if we choose to press. - Tactical foul if the opponent progresses. - Proper pressing orientation for wide players. STRUCTURES: COGNITIVE: runs, switching play, pressing, game speed, etc. COORDINATIVE: passing, ball control, dribbling, etc. CONDITIONAL: game endurance
