AUTOMATISM 1-3-5-2 (Defensive phase)

Description

Objective: - Force the opponent to the flank with equality or superiority, preventing them from turning. Notes: - We will first perform the automatism with poles and then with players. - Defensive fundamentals: * Compact lines. * To avoid dropping too deep, work on stepping up and squeezing the space. * Maintain equality in the center. * Strikers position themselves to block interior passes; if the ball goes to the flank, the nearest striker closes the passing lane with a curved run, and the far-side striker drops diagonally to block the pass to the far interior. * When the ball goes to the flank and is in the full-back's possession, the nearest wing-back presses, and the opposite one drops to form a back four. * When the ball is on the flank, there must always be a 2v2 and cover from the pivot to prevent an interior pass. * Do not press until the ball reaches the flank, and provide cover for the player pressing on the flank. * If pressing in a high block, the strikers position themselves in intermediate zones.
