Position-Specific Passing

Description

The goalkeeper (left side) and the center-back (right side) start passing sequences simultaneously. Left side sequence: Goalkeeper passes to A (center-back). A receives the pass in an open stance and passes to B (winger). B positions himself between the poles (opponent players), briefly drops behind the poles, and then reappears between them. B holds the ball briefly to draw in the "opponents" and passes to C (midfielder). C passes to D (striker or attacking midfielder) who emerges between the poles (opponent player) and shouts "Turn!". D turns in an open stance and passes to A (center-back) from the right side. Right side sequence: A (center-back) passes to B (full-back). B receives the pass in an open stance and passes to C (striker or attacking midfielder) who checks towards him. C passes quickly to D (midfielder). D passes to E (winger). E, after receiving the ball in Pass 2, looks for width to start a forward run. E passes the ball to the goalkeeper after controlling and dribbling in an open stance. All players return to their starting positions. Reinforce the sequences through many repetitions. After a few minutes, players on the left and right sides swap positions.
