OFFENSIVE STRATEGY (Corner kicks)

Description

Objective: - Offensive strategy, corner kicks. Conditioning rules: - None. Observations: 1st corner Defense: 2 full-backs close down and one midfielder in front. Rebound: 1 player for the rebound. Finish: 4 players at the back post and one at the front. 1st, 2nd, and 4th players block markers so no rival player can step out to cover the 3rd player running to the penalty spot. 2nd corner Defense: 2 full-backs close down and one midfielder in front. Finish: 3 players run diagonally from the back post, one player at the front post, and two players at the corner flag who combine to pass to a player cutting into the box to cross. 3rd corner Defense: 2 full-backs close down and one midfielder in front. Rebound: 1 player for the rebound. Finish: 3 players set up at the front post; the player closest to the post runs to receive a pass from the corner taker, who instead crosses directly to 2 players at the back post running diagonally and crossing paths. 4th corner Defense: 2 full-backs close down and one midfielder in front. Finish: 4 players set up diagonally at the back post, waiting for a cross from a combination between 2 players at the corner flag, executing a cut-back to a second-line player who cuts in and crosses to the 4 players running diagonally: the furthest to the back post, the next to the penalty spot, the next to the front post, and the last to the back post.
