Reaction exercise with elimination
- Level:
- Easy
- Duration:
- 15 min
- Recommended age:
- ["U7","U9","U11","U13","U15"]
Description
Each player takes a ball, and players move freely while dribbling within a marked area (approximately 12x12 meters). After a while, the coach calls out a number, for example, "3". Players must quickly try to form groups of three, with no more or fewer players than the coach announced. Players left without a group are eliminated, receive penalty points, or must perform a small penalty task. Then, the game continues. Variants: The coach can request different dribbling variations during free movement, such as using only the right/left foot, the sole of the foot, the outside of the foot, or the instep to control the ball. Another variant could be that the coach indicates a number for the group size and at the same time sets how many hands and feet within each group can touch the ground, which will require players to find creative solutions. Example: The coach says "4" and "four hands, four feet". Then, four players form each group and, to meet the "four hands, four feet" requirement, each player could, for example, stand on one leg while touching the ground with one hand.
