AUTOMATISMS (Finishing)

Objective: - Finishing. Notes: - In the first diagram, we play to the near player to find the far player; if we play into space, the winger makes a run, but if we play to the winger's feet, the full-back overlaps. - In the second diagram, we play to the far player to find the near player; same as above, if we play into space, the winger makes a run, but if we play to the winger's feet, the full-back overlaps. - Depending on the play, the central midfielder or full-back will always remain at the tip of the triangle in case of ball loss. - The defensive midfielder also provides defensive cover at the edge of the box.
